Most brands tout silly things like “total output power in watts.” This is confusing because they are talking about ELECTRICAL power, NOT OPTICAL power! Yet, all the scientific research uses “OPTICAL POWER in milliwatts” which is the REAL power of the LEDs or lasers. The term “total output power in watts” is a trick to make you think it is powerful!
